Hello World!

In a little over a week- Sunday, July 1st to be exact- Chuck and I will be launching our brand new business! It’s been a dream of Chuck’s since he was a little kid to dabble in entrepreneurship. He has even taken classes on the topic. For the past 9 years of marriage, he has said to me a gajillion times, “It would be so neat to start a side business!” Well, that time has finally come.

Chuck is a gifted guy. He thrives with problem solving, is a creative genius in my opinion, and a talented artist. If you’ve ever been to our home, then you know any sense of style that exists can be credited to my man. He graduated with a computer science degree and an e-Business minor, and worked in the field for 3 years before diving into full-time youth ministry. Of course over the last 10 years he constantly used his graphic design skills to create flyers, brochures, powerpoint slides, and invitations for all manner of church activities.

People regularly ask Chuck to work on projects for them- wedding favors, flyers for their businesses, or help with their websites and blogs. (Ahem, he created this blog!) It feels natural that our side business would be in design. I love the art he creates, and I know you will, too.

It’s been a lot of fun to work on this together. I have been able to use my writing, organizational, administrative, and social media skills. We make a pretty good team. We are asking God to pour out His favor on this endeavor, and bless us with lots of jobs.

***We are aware many of you might be wondering why Chuck isn’t working in full-time ministry right now. We wonder the same thing every.single.day. This past year has been filled with constant prayer for God to open the door for Chuck to work in full-time ministry again. His heart longs for that opportunity, more than anything else. We believe God absolutely has something in store for us regarding our deepest desires!
