How God is Using a Hardware Store to Provide

How God is Using a Hardware Store to Provide

Many of you are aware, my husband lost his job back in June. Because of that, we will lose our medical benefits at the end of December. We are thankful to have kept our benefits up until this point. God’s faithfulness to provide for our every need always astounds me.

Today I am thankful God provided my husband with a part-time job at Lowes. Isn’t he handsome? He has been working there for 2 weeks now. By the end of January, we will be able to get partial medical benefits through the company. We are absolutely believing God has a perfect full-time job for Chuck, but in the meantime Lowes has been a nice provision.

Chuck has already had the opportunity to pray healing over co-workers, and be an encouragement to them. For those of you who know my man, this is no surprise! He has been able to connect with another guy who came as a refugee to the U.S. when he was very young. Before this guy arrived here, he was working full-time as a THIRTEEN year old under hellish conditions. What an honor for Chuck to get to hear his story. We look forward to him continuing to build relationships there, and eventually inviting his new friends into our home.

I’m also really thankful for Chuck’s humble attitude. He really doesn’t enjoy the job, doesn’t get paid well, and has stinky hours. Still, he heads in to work with a hard-working attitude, a desire to be Spirit-led, and he never complains. I’m so proud to be his.

What are YOU thankful for TODAY? #thankfultoday

  1. So encouraging seeing what God is up to in the midst of all this, especially how lives are intersecting and how your husband is already blessing others at the new job!

  2. Yesterday I was thankful for the fact that the kids were so well behaved during our monthly Aldi trip to the one that is over 30 miles from us. They were mostly behaved and I had a pretty stress free trip. It was a nice change:]
